The Illinois Wesleyan women's tennis team fell to 3-6 overall with a 5-2 setback to the University of Illinois-Springfield at Beadles-Morse Courts on Sept. 26.

The Titans' No. 1 doubles team of Helen Alex and Liz Exo defeated the team of Thiyumi Abeysingbe and Brook Tweedy, 8-3, and the No. 3 doubles team of Kathleen Johnson and Annie Nord defeated Claire Connor and Liz Duggan of UIS, 8-4.  

At No. 1 and No. 2 singles, Alex and Exo were rained out of their matches and the other four singles players for IWU lost in straight sets.

The Titans, who are 3-1 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, will host Millikin and Wheaton on Saturday, Oct. 3.
