NORMAL, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's cross country teams posted wins in a dual meet against Monmouth at Normal's Maxwell Park on Sept. 1. The men were winners, 25-30, and the women won, 21-40.

In the 5K race, the Titan men claimed third through seventh places, led by sophomore T.J. Luby with a time of 16:41.3. He was followed by Tyler Saunders (16:54.1), Keith Lehuta (16:59.9), Paul Kwak (17:01.3) and Jim Fahey (17:03.1).

In the two-mile race for the women, IWU earned second through fifth places as Kerry Devitt was second with a time of 11:56.7 to finish behind Monmouth's Mary Kate Beyer with her finish of 11:44.7. Senior Mackenzie Clemens was third (12:06.1), followed by Liz Ave Maria (12:10.6) and Katelyn Draths (12:12.0).
