KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan softball team won a pair of conference games at Carthage, taking the first game 2-1 and the nightcap 5-2 in Kenosha, Wis., on April 15.
Illinois Wesleyan improved to 20-3 overall and 6-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin while the Lady Reds fell to 16-8 overall and 5-5 in the CCIW.

In game two, Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead in the second on an RBI-single by Mahoney and the Titans made it a 2-0 game in the fourth on an RBI double by Mahoney. IWU scored three in the sixth to go ahead 5-0 when
Valerie Hackett led off with a home run. Engel and Urban followed with RBI-singles. Hackett (7-1) was the inning pitcher, allowing two runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts and one walk.
