WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan softball team lost a pair of games at Wisconsin-Whitewater, dropping the first game, 5-1, and falling 9-2 in game two at van Steenderen Field on Friday, April 10.
The Titans fall to 16-3 overall while the No. 14-ranked Warhawks improved to 21-3. IWU will host Wheaton in a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsn doubleheader at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11.

Val Hackett had two of IWU's three hits in game one and hit a solo homer in the second inning of the nightcap.
In game one, the Titans' lone unearned run came in the fifth when Hackett singled and
Lisa Male pinch ran for her. Male was sacrificed to second on a bunt by
Kris Lee, and reached third on an error by shortstop on a ball hit by
Sarah Carlson. After

Kayla Mahoney reached on a fielder's choice to drive home the run.
Christy Engel took the loss in the circle, pitching seven innings, striking out seven and walking two.
The Warhawks scored three runs in the first, three more in the fifth and three in the sixth to earn the win in game two. Hackett pitched five innings and struck out eight in the losing effort.
