Wesleyan 20-0 After Win at Carthage

KENOSHA, Wis. - No. 1-ranked Illinois Wesleyan improved to 20-0 and 10-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin with a 62-46 win over Carthage on Saturday, Feb. 7 in Kenosha, Wis.

Junior Christina Solari scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the win while senior Mallory Heydorn added 11 and sophomore Hope Schulte scored 10. The Titans led the Lady Reds (13-7, 5-4 CCIW) by a 27-23 score at halftime and outscored Carthage, 35-23 in the final 20 minutes.

Wesleyan outrebounded Carthage, 45-36, and forced 25 turnovers while committing 17. IWU shot 37 percent from the field (25 of 59) and shot 21 percent from beyond the 3-point arc (four of 19).

Wesleyan hosts Millikin (11-9, 5-4 CCIW) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The Titans were 70-64 winners over the Big Blue in Decatur on Jan. 17.
