Titans 24-0 After Win Over Cardinals

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - No. 1-ranked Illinois Wesleyan improved to 24-0 with a 78-40 home court win over North Central on Saturday, Feb. 21.

On "Seniors' Day", Mallory Heydorn accounted for 20 points to pace the winners while junior Christina Solari had 14, freshman Kylie Castans scored 11 and senior Claire Sheehan scored 10 as the Titans remained unbeaten in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin at 13-0.

Solari led IWU with eight rebounds as the Titans held a 48-31 edge over the Cardinals (11-12, 6-7 CCIW). North Central committed 24 turnovers and managed only 16 of 50 from the field (.320) while the Titans admitted to only 13 turnovers and connected on 30 of 71 field goal tries (.423).

North Central was led by the 15 points of Meghan McGuire and 10 points and six rebounds from Jackie Errico.

Wesleyan ends its regular season with a 7:30 p.m. game at Elmhurst on Tuesday, Feb. 24 then will be the top seed and host of the CCIW tournament Feb. 27-28. IWU will play the 8 p.m. semifinal game on Friday.
