CHICAGO, Ill. - The No. 1-ranked Illinois Wesleyan women's basketball team scored 10 straight points to break a 46-46 tie and went on to defeat No. 17 Chicago on the road, 64-57, on Dec. 5.
The Titans improved to 7-0 with the win while the Maroons fell to 5-2.

Hope Schulte scored 14 points to pace IWU while senior 
Christina Solari added 13 and junior 
Nikki Preston had 11 coming off the bench.
The Titans trailed 33-30 at halftime after being behind by as many as eight early (10-2). Chicago had a nine point lead at 41-32 with 15:35 to play before IWU went on a 14-5 run to tie the game at 46-46 on a layup by Preston with 8:58 to go. The Titans then went on a 10-0 run to lead 56-46 and Chicago could get no closer than five the rest of the way.
Illinois Wesleyan shot 37 percent (22 of 60) from the field and made only 5 of 21 from 3-point territory (24 percent). The Titans were outrebounded 40-28 but forced the Maroons into 24 turnovers.
