BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's wrestling team heads to Plymouth, Wis. for the Lakeland Duals, Sunday Nov. 9. at 12:30 p.m.
Last week at the Pointer Open, the Titans registered three first-place finishes. Freshman Kennedy Murray (Evanston, Ill.- Evanston) went 4-0 with three pins and a decision in the 145-pound weight class. Freshman
Beyonce Espinosa (Homestead, Fla.- Homeschool) did not concede a point in a three-pin effort at 124 pounds. Freshman
Angel Hill (San Diego, Calif.- Mira Mesa) rounded out the winners circle for IWU at 207 pounds via two pins and a decision.
Also placing for IWU was freshmen Hayley McNeal (Onaway, Idaho.-Potlatch), who finished third in the 160-pound purple bracket,
Jillian Giller (Wilmette, Ill.-New Trier) with a sixth place effort at 138 pounds,
Leslie Guzman (Fort Worth, Texas.-South Hills) finished sixth at 103 pounds, and 117-pounder
Evelynn Garcia (Houston, Texas.- Cypress Springs) finished fifth.
