BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's cross country teams head to Rock Island, Ill. for the Augustana Interregional race Saturday, Oct. 18. Hosted at Saukie Golf Course, the home of the 2025 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships later this season, the men's race is set to begin at 11 a.m., with the women's to follow at 11:45 a.m.

Senior Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High), the reigning CCIW Runner of the Week, has had a senior season for the record books thus far. She has won three of four events this year, and earned four of five possible CCIW Runner of the Week honors. Crabtree is set to compete at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin Friday, Oct. 17. The race is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. at Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Madison, Wis.

The Green and White most recently competed at the Dan Hutson Invite in Waverly, Iowa Saturday, Oct. 4 where the women's team earned a seventh-place finish. Crabtree garnered a third-place finish, while freshman Alexia Spatz (Spring Grove, Ill.-Richmond Burton) placed 38th. 

In an 11th-place team finish for the Illinois Wesleyan men's team, senior Zack Daniel (Lake Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) was the Green and White's top finisher, clocking a 26:47.4 time and earning a 58th-place finish. IWU will be one of 62 teams set to compete this weekend, along with CCIW opponents Augustana, Elmhurst, North Central, and Wheaton. 

The latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association regional rankings, released Tuesday, Oct. 14, had the Titan women's team steady at eighth in the Midwest region. IWU remained the top CCIW team in the league, remaining one spot ahead of ninth-ranked Wheaton. The seventh-ranked University of Chicago continued its reign atop the region.
