NEW ORLEANS - Illinois Wesleyan University men's track and field standout Cole Paraday (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) was recognized as part of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Region performers Wednesday, June 22.

The top-five individuals in each event from each region earned all-region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.

Paraday garnered all-region honors for his javelin performance. The senior saw plenty of success in 2022, as he shattered his previous personal-best mark with a mammoth heave of 56.67 meters at the Redbird Invite, April 1-2. The toss, which ranks second all-time in the IWU record book, was the longest toss in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin this season. The Frankfort, Ill. native won the CCIW Outdoor Javelin title with a distance of 53.45 meters, before capping his career with Team Co-MVP recognition.

Paraday was one of 35 CCIW student-athletes recognized.
