Titan Men's Soccer Shut Out by Simpson

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's soccer team was on the wrong end of a shutout, losing a 1-0 decision to Simpson College at Neis Field on Saturday, Sept. 7. The Titans slip to 1-1-1 for the year.

IWU had 12 total shots compared to 11 for the Storm, who collected the only goal of the match at the 17:27 mark on a rebound effort by Tyler Neumann.

Andrew Reed made two saves in the first half and Erick Eklin made four saves in the second stanza. Luke Aronow made four saves for Simpson.

Illinois Wesleyan completes its Iowa weekend by hosting Central College at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8.
