IWU's Glueck Elected as First Team Google Cloud Academic All-American ®

2018 CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-Americans ® Division III Women's Track

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- For the second straight year, Illinois Wesleyan May graduate Amelia Glueck has been elected to the first team of the Division III Women's Track and Field Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
 
The selection of Glueck in women's track brings the total to 128 for the number of Illinois Wesleyan Academic All-Americans ® since the program began in 1970. The complete list of IWU Academic All-Americans ® is available here.

Glueck (Pekin, Ill. /Tremont HS) had a 4.0 grade-point average majoring in health promotion and wellness management at Illinois Wesleyan. She was the NCAA Division III indoor track Elite 90 honoree and was the school's winner of the initial "Barb Cothren Award", honoring the top female Order of Titan member.

The NCAA Division III national outdoor long jump champion in both 2016 and 2018, Glueck was an outdoor and indoor All-American this year as she finished second in the indoor long jump and won the NCAA outdoor event with a school record effort of 19 feet-10 1/4 inches. She was a long jump All-American in all four career national meets with top eight finishes each time and was U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association all-Midwest Region every year.

Glueck won the long jump at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin outdoor meet all four years, won the CCIW indoor long jump in 2015 and on five occasions she was chosen CCIW women's track or field "Athlete of the Week".
