BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan men's and women's basketball teams will celebrate their seniors as the Titans play College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin games on Saturday, Feb. 10, with the men (16-5, 9-3 CCIW) at home against Carroll at 7 p.m. and the women's team (18-3, 11-1 CCIW) on the floor against the Pioneers at 5 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENTS: Illinois Wesleyan's seniors are

Tyler Burdine. They will be honored with their parents prior to the men's game ... Members of the Illinois Wesleyan football team will sing the National Anthem in their annual tradition ... The weekend also features appearances from Illinois Wesleyan basketball-playing alumni, who will have a game at 2 p.m. Saturday with a reception following.

Brady Rose is 25th in scoring (22.6 ppg), 41st with 337 field goal tries and 36th in field goals made (165). Rose is 41st all-time at IWU with 1014 career points, just behind Bob Spear (1035, 1973-77)...Of 416 teams in Division III stats, IWU is 36th with 10.0 3-pointers per game and 21st with a 1.39 assist/turnover ratio. The Titans are 14th with just 10.9 turnovers per game...IWU has a 3-pointer in 623 straight games (D-III record) dating back to an 86-76 win at North Park on Jan. 28, 1996.
SCOUTING THE PIONEERS: Carroll has won four straight games since losing to IWU 82-70 on Jan. 20 ... The Pioneers beat Carthage (73-69) Wednesday and tipped Augustana (77-69) last Saturday.
THE SERIES: Dating back to 1955-56, IWU leads the Carroll series 61-17 and has won 16 of the last 18 … The schools met once after Carroll left the CCIW (after 1991-92): IWU won 81-68 in the 2006 NCAA D-III tourney first round at Whitewater, Wis. …Before losing on Jan. 21, 2017, Titan teams had won seven in a row. IWU won the home game last year 87-64.

Maddie Merritt's .840 career free throw percentage is the best in an IWU uniform (273 of 325) ...
STOLEN GOODS: On the back of Ehresman's 3.35 steals per game, IWU ranks No. 14 nationally in steals per game with 14.5 ... Among top 25 teams, the Titans rank third in steals behind 11th-ranked Christopher Newport and 23rd-ranked Marymount (Va.). With 67 steals on the season, Ehresman trails Illinois Wesleyan's single-season steals record holder, Christina Solari (2009-10) by 21 steals ... With 273 career steals to date, Ehresman is the program leader in steals.
FROM DEEP: During the conference season, junior Nina Anderson has made a league-leading 2.55 3-pointers per game in addition to leading the conference in 3-point percentage at .475 ... As a junior Anderson is having her best shooting season to date shooting .456 from the field, an increase from a .359 performance as a sophomore ... Freshman Kendall Sosa ranks second in the conference's 3-point shooting ranks at .444 percent with freshman Sam Munroe sitting sixth at .393.
SENIOR SPECIAL: This weekend Illinois Wesleyan will honor the athletic career's of three women's basketball seniors; Rebekah Ehresman, Molly McGraw, and Kelsey Walsberg. Ehresman and McGraw will be making their 99th and 92nd career starts respectively, with Ehresman having broken the 100 game appearance mark against Wheaton on Wednesday. After transferring to Illinois Wesleyan from Monmouth College (Ill.) prior to the 2016-17 season, Walsberg has seen her role increase as a senior, playing 11.9 minutes per game and averaging 4.7 points per game. More information about this years senior class will be provided in the game program this weekend.
BEHIND ENEMY LINES: Winners of two of their last three conference games, Carroll has the 337th ranked scoring offense in D-III (57.9) and the 368th ranked scoring defense (69.5) ... Reigning CCIW "Player of the Week" Brittney Wald averages a team-high 13.3 points ... Rachel Van Sluys returns to the Pioneer line-up averaging 12.7 points in 10 contests this season ... Katie Rossetti leads the team in rebounds (8.1 per), blocked shots (44), and steals (43).
THE SERIES: Dating back to 1985, Carroll holds a 14-3 advantage over the Titans. Illinois Wesleyan has won each of the last three meetings and prior to their return to the CCIW hadn't faced the Pioneers since 2006. Earlier this season, Illinois Wesleyan defeated Carroll by a score of 89-46.
COACHES: Illinois Wesleyan's Mia Smith is in her 20th season and has an overall record of 382-162 (.702) with a CCIW mark of 206-74 (.735) ... In her second season in Waukesha, Lindsay Schultz has a career coaching record of 8-37 with a CCIW record of 5-23.
HOME COURT: IWU has a 215-70 record at the Shirk Center and, since 2008, IWU has a home record of 98-26 (.790).
