Boudreau, Glueck Earn Honors for IWU Track & Field

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Senior Allie Boudreau was chosen as the "Most Valuable Performer" for the 2015 Illinois Wesleyan women's track and field team while freshman Amelia Glueck earned the "Top Newcomer" honor.

Boudreau (Deerfield, Ill., Deerfield HS), who was also the IWU team "MVP" as a junior, is an eight-time indoor and outdoor NCAA All-American after placing second in the heptathlon at the 2015 NCAA Division III outdoor championships. She was the national champion in the 2015 NCAA D-III pentathlon and set an IWU heptathlon record with her sixth place finish at 2015 Drake Relays, which earned her USTFCCCA Division III "National Athlete of the Week" honors.
Boudreau won both the heptathlon and javelin in the 2015 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin outdoor meet, earning CCIW "Field Athlete of Meet" honors, which she also won in 2013. In the CCIW indoor meet she was second in the pentathlon, won the 400 meter dash and ran on the vistorious 4x400 meter relay team.

Glueck (Pekin, Ill., Tremont HS) placed second in the long jump in the NCAA Division III outdoor championships with a school-record of 19 feet-3 1/4 inches. topping the old mark of 19 feet-2 inches set by Lauren Alpert in 2012.
She won the long jump at the CCIW indoor meet (18 feet-9 ¼ inches) and had earlier tied the school's indoor long jump record of 19 feet-0.6 inches (5.81 meters), set in 2000 by Muneerah Maalik. She also won the CCIW outdoor long jump with a distance of 18 feet- 11 ¾ inches and ran a leg on the first place 4x100 relay squad.

Head coach Chris Schumacher, whose women's team finished fourth in the national outdoor meet and third in the national indoor championships, awarded letters to 26 IWU student-athletes. The letterwinners are:
