Complete ResultsBOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- A gruup of Illinois Wesleyan women's cross country runners placed ninth of 17 teams at the Illinois Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships, held Friday (Oct. 2) at the Aspen Ridge Golf Course in Bourbonnais, Ill.
The Titans had a team score of 278 points. The University of Chicago was the team champion with 28 points.
Illinois Wesleyan had four runners finish in the low 60 in the 5K championship race - freshman
Jillian Cole was IWU's low finisher, placing 42nd with a time of 20:22.8, while freshman
Maddie Dulin was 53rd with a run of 20:54.9. Sophomore
Monica Mocogni finished in 55th place (20:56.2) and junior
Elaine Coppe was 59th (21:02.0).
Khia Kurtenbach from the University of Chicago was the meet winner with a time of 18:23.7.
What's Next?The Titan men's and women's teams will compete next at the Wis.-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis.
