BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Illinois Wesleyan University's Nick Anderson has advanced to the second round in the first-ever NCAA Elite 89 Fan Favorite. The field has been narrowed to 30 semifinalists (from 89) and voting for round two is underway until 7 p.m. Tuesday (July 15). The top 10 vote-getters will advance to the finals on Wednesday and Thursday.

To vote for Anderson, go to this web page - fans may vote once per day from each of their e-mail accounts. The top Elite 89 winner is crowned on Friday, July 18.

Anderson (Edwardsville, Ill., HS) was the recipient of the Elite 89 award for the 2014 NCAA Division III men's basketball championship and was also the winner of the award in 2012 when the Titans last played in the national semifinals. A business (marketing) major with a 3.97 grade-point average, Anderson was presented with the award during the championshp's banquet on Thursday, March 20, the eve of the Titans' national semifinal game against Wis.-Whitewater. The Elite 89 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's championships.
