Reed Chosen "MVP" for Titan Men's Basketball

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan senior center Kevin Reed has been named as the "Most Valuable Player" for the 2012-13 Titan men's basketball team that won the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin regular season championship for the first time since 2005.

Reed averaged 9.6 points and a team-best 7.0 rebounds for the Titans, who finished 23-6 overall and played three games in the NCAA Division III championships.
Reed had a .559 field goal percentage this season and finished 35th all-time at IWU with 405 career rebounds.
He was a second team all-CCIW selection as he averaged 9.5 points, was fourth in the CCIW with a .610 field goal percentage and sixth in rebounds with 6.8 per game. He was also sixth with 0.79 blocks per game.

IWU head coach Ron Rose, who has a seven-year overall record of 129-68 (.655) and is 60-38 in the CCIW (.612), awarded letters to 14 players, 12 of whom will return for next season.
