Wood Named "MVP" for IWU Men's Cross Country

Senior Ethan Wood was selected as the "Most Valuable Performer" for the 2013 Illinois Wesleyan men's cross country team.

Wood (Lemont, Ill./Lemont HS) was the low finisher for Illinois Wesleyan in four meets this fall, including a 19th place finish in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin event with a time of 26:27.

In other team honors, senior Mark Giannis (Arlington Heights, Ill. /Buffalo Grove HS) was named the "Hardest Worker" and freshman Ryan Ingram (Pontiac, Ill. / Pontiac HS) was selected as the "Best Newcomer."

IWU head coach Greg Huffaker awarded letters to eight athletes. They are:
