BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Three Illinois Wesleyan men's basketball players reached double-digit offensive performances en route to an 80-51 victory over Elmhurst Saturday (Jan. 5) night at the Shirk Center.
· IWU now sports a 10-3 record, and sits at 2-0 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, while Elmhurst has a record of 4-9, 0-2.
· IWU and Elmhurst went head-to-head to open the game, as the Titans did not jump out to a substantial lead until they went on a 10-1 run to close out the half.
· The Titans led the Bluejays heading into the locker rooms at halftime, 40-27, going 48.3 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free throw line.
· Elmhurst, however, was unable to come within striking distance of IWU in the second half as the Titans posted a 20-point lead within six minutes into the half.
· IWU led the Bluejays by as much as 37 points in the second half with 5:53 on the clock after
Bryce Dolan knocked down a three pointer to bring the score to 75-38.
