For their performances in the classroom as well as the pool, five Illinois Wesleyan women's swimmers have achieved Scholar All-American honors, as selected by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
Katie McHugh and
Angela Lugg were named Scholar All-Americans while
Andrea Peterson,
Lizzie Egan, and
Katie Bell earned honorable mention Scholar All-American status.
Lugg and McHugh collect their Scholar All-American awards as a result of having a 3.5 grade-point averages or higher and qualifying for the NCAA Division III national championship.
The other three earned honorable mention as a result of having a 3.5 grade-point average or higher and achieved a "B" qualifying time standard for the NCAA Division III national championship.
