Illinois Wesleyan senior Rachael Williams was named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin women's cross country "Athlete of the Week" on Tuesday (Oct. 16).

Williams (Minooka, Ill., Minooka HS), was ninth out of 500 runners at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Brooks Invitational on Saturday (Oct. 13) at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis.

Her time of 22:10.24 in the 6K helped lead the Titans to a fifth place finish. Williams was the top CCIW finisher at the race.

A business administration major at Illinois Wesleyan, Williams is the daughter of Debbie and Pete Williams.

The IWU women's team was ranked No. 31 in the nation among Division III teams and No. 4 in the Midwest region in the latest polls (Oct. 9) released by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
