BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Freshman outside hitter Maddie Greybar has been chosen as the "Most Valuable Player" for the 2011 Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team.

Greybar (Western Springs, Ill. / St. Ignatius College Prep), who was a third team all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection, led the Titans with 310 kills and was second on the team with 344 defensive digs. Playing in a team-high 119 sets, she also provided 32 total blocks and was second on the team with 29 service aces.

In other team awards, senior setter Stacy Hassinger (Noblesville, Ind. / Westville HS) was a repeat winner of the team's "Most Inspirational Player" honor and freshman middle hitter Cydnee Mann (Bourbonnais, Ill. / Bradley-Bourbonnais HS) was selected as the "Most Improved Player."

Hassinger finished her IWU career ranked No. 3 with 3572 assists, No. 8 with 168 service aces and No. 18 with 972 digs.
Mann had 107 kills and was second on the team with 56 total blocks.

Junior outside hitter Katie Rhoades (Mackinaw, Ill. / Deer Creek-Mackinaw HS) was also a repeat winner of the "Titan Strength and Conditioning" honor. In 78 sets last fall, she contributed 165 kills with a .196 hitting percentage and had 80 digs.

Head coach Kim Nelson-Brown, whose team finished 18-15 overall and 2-5 in the CCIW, awarded letters to 14 players. The letterwinners are:
