Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic - Final Results

NORMAL, Ill. - After starting the day in seventh place, the Illinois Wesleyan women's golf team finished in fourth place in the 26-team IWU Fall Classic on September 17-18, at Normal's Ironwood Golf Course. Junior Megan Geraghty and sophomore Katie Klosterman tied for 22nd as the Titans' low scorers.

The Titans had a team score of 651 (334-317) as Washington U. finished first at 617 (300-317) and DePauw was in second place with a team score of 621 (312-309).

"It was a great comeback by our team moving up to fourth place from seventh," said IWU head coach Kathy Niepagen. "For some reason we really put the blinders on when the weather gets bad. The rain, wind and cold didn't really affect a thing for us. Tying the winning team's score today really says something about our capability."

Klosterman, who had a second day 76 (86-76), and Geraghty (82-80 )each carded 18-over par scores of 162. Junior Rose Kelly (82-81) had a score of 163 and tied for 28th in the 133-player field.

Washington U.'s Hannah Buck was the individual medalist with a total of 148 (69-79).
