NORMAL, Ill. - Junior Rachael Williams finished 30th overall as the Illinois Wesleyan women's cross country team placed eighth of 28 at the Illinois Intercollegiates, held at Illinois State University in Normal on Sept. 16. The Titans were third among Division III teams.

IWU had 255 points as the overall team champion was the host school with 21 points. The University of Chicago (139 points) and North Central (206 points) were the only Division III teams ahead of Illinois Wesleyan.

Williams had a time of 18:41 to lead Illinois Wesleyan in the 291-runner field while junior Elise Anderson was 47th with a time of 18:59. Freshman Stephanie Modert was 58th in 19:15 and sophomore Carmin Beck finished 59th with a run of 19:16.

Sophomore Cassie Anderson had a time of 19:18 and placed 61st.
