Final Results
KENOSHA, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team had the top five finishers and six of the top eight to win the 36-hole Carthage Fall Invitational by 41 shots on Monday, Sept. 12, in Kenosha, Wis.
The Titans had a team score of three-over par 579 (290-289) to easily top second place Carthage at 44-over par 620 (302-318) in the 14-team tournament, played at The Club at Strawberry Creek.
Illinois Wesleyan freshman
Teddy Kon was first with a one-under total of 143 (72-71) on the par 72, 6900 yard course. Senior
Shane Smith was second at even par 144 (71-73) and tied for third at two-over 146 were
Stefan Johnson (73-73) and freshman
Kenny Wienckowski.
Austin Craig was fifth with a five-over 149 two-round total (74-75) and freshman
Gabe Aprati tied for eighth with eight-over 152 (77-75).
Illinois Wesleyan will next play Sept. 24-26 in the NCAA Division III Preview at the Mission Inn Golf Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
