2011 Mount Mercy Cropper Golf Classic - Final Results

MARION, Iowa - With six golfers finishing in the top 20, the Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team placed second at the 21-team Mount Mercy Cropper Golf Classic, held Sept. 10-11 at Hunters Ridge Golf Club in Marion, Iowa.

The Titans had a two-day score of 575 (289-286) and placed second to Grand View with 561 (283-278).

Senior Shane Smith had scores of 71 and 70 to finish tied for fourth at three-under 141 and senior Dex Reese finished at two-under 142 with rounds of 71-71 in the 122-player tournament

Aaron Ahrendsen of Grand View was the individual champion with an eight-under par two-day score of 136 (70-66).

Titan freshman Kenny Wienckowski tied for 10th with a score of one-over par 145 (74-71) while junior Stefan Johnson (73-73) and freshman Teddy Kon (74-72) tied for 15th with two-over scores of 146.
Freshman Gabe Aprati tied for 17th with a total of three-over 147 (74-73).
