Titan Men Run in North Central Cross Country Meet

Cardinal Classic Men's Results

WINFIELD, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan men's cross country team placed sixth in the six-team Cardinal Classic, held Friday, Sept. 30 at the Saint James Farm Forest Preserve in Winfield, Ill.

Wheaton scored 26 points to claim first in the meet, followed by North Central with 56. Harper Junior College (90), North Central's freshmen team (93), Concordia University Wisconsin (116 points) and Illinois Wesleyan University (180 points) rounded out the field.

Junior Phil Johnson was the Titans' low finisher, coming in 33rd in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 28:29, while sophomore Sean Ryan was 35th at 28:35 and senior Kevin Seske was 36th in a time of 28:39.

Junior Nicholas Heller had a time of 28:46 and freshman Matthew DeSalvo came in at 28:59 to finish in 37th and 39th places, respectively.

North Central assistant coach Kyle Brady, competing unattached, won the race in 25:35.
