McCoy, Saunders Earn Track Honors

Senior Ali McCoy (Irving, Texas / Episcopal School of Dallas) and sophomore Tyler Saunders (Hudson, Ohio / Hudson HS) were named the "Most Valuable Performers" for the 2010 Illinois Wesleyan indoor track season and head coach Chris Schumacher awarded letters to 25 women and 15 men for the season.
In addition to the "MVP" honors, senior Katelyn Draths (Glenview, Ill. / Regina Dominican HS) was the female winner of the 2010 "Hardest Worker Award" while sophomores Adam Harrison (Bloomington, Ill. / Bloomington Central Catholic HS) and T.J. Luby (Wheaton, Ill. / North HS) were the winners of the similar men's award.
Freshmen Tara Clemens (Bloomington, Ill. / Bloomington HS) and Kevin Kapolnek (Niles, Ill. / Loyola Academy) were chosen as the "Best Newcomers."
Named as the 2011 men's team captains were Aaron Ball (St. Joseph, Ill. / Ogden HS), Noah Dunham (Pontiac, Ill. / Pontiac HS), Alex Lambert (Champaign, Ill. / Tremont HS), and Keith Lehuta (Lemont, Ill. / Lemont HS).
Four current juniors will serve as the women's team captains for the 2011 campaign. They are Liz Ave Maria (Morton Grove, Ill. / Regina Dominican HS), Lorin Biosca (Wheeling, Ill. / Buffalo Grove HS), Kyla Motz (Colorado Springs, Colo. / Pine Creek HS) and Angela Oltman (Roanoke, Ill. / Roanoke HS).
