BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University's Jim Ott has been named the inaugural College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin "Men's Golf Coach of the Year", as voted on by the CCIW's head men's golf coaches Tuesday, May 4.

The recognition comes after Ott guided the Titans to their third straight conference title at the Bolingbrook (Ill.) Golf Club over the weekend.

Illinois Wesleyan won the four-day championship event by 26 strokes, finishing with a score of 1217 (297-298-321-301).

The win was Ott's eighth CCIW title since he became the Titans' coach in 2000. Previous wins came in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, and 2009.

A 1991 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan, Ott has guided his teams to four NCAA Division III championship appearances, including this season.
