MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Illinois Wesleyan baseball team was outhit, 18-11, and outscored, 20-8, by the No. 15-ranked Marietta Express on March 13 in Memphis, Tenn.

Illinois Wesleyan got three hits, including a home run, and two runs batted in from senior third baseman Casey McIntosh while senior leftfielder Kraig Ladd added two singles and scored three times. Freshman first baseman Kevin Callahan connected on a home run for the Titans (who fell to 0-3).

IWU pitching was smacked around by perennial power Marietta, who improved to 7-2. Senior Alex Tosi allowed seven earned runs and nine hits in four innings and Pat Hayn and Joe Sweeney each allowed six earned runs in their relief stints.

The Titans play a single game at Rhodes College in Memphis at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 14.
