BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's soccer team has qualified for the NCAA Division III tournament for the third straight year and will face Washington & Jefferson at 10 a.m. (Central time) in the first round in Granville, Ohio on Saturday, November 13.
The Titans, with a record of 16-1-3, will play the Presidents (14-5-1) at Barclay-Thomsen Field on the campus of Denison University, the host school who will play Penn State-Altoona in the other first round match, which gets underway 30 minutes after the conclusion of the early match.
The winners of the two first-round matches will meet at 12 p.m. (Central) on Sunday, November 14.
Admission to all sessions will be $6 for adults, $3 for students, senior citizens and military personnel, and $2 for children ages 3-12.
Illinois Wesleyan was the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin automatic qualifier as a result of claiming a 3-1 shootout decision at Wheaton following a 0-0 tie on Saturday, November 6.

Washington & Jefferson College women's soccer team is 14-5-1 after claiming its third consecutive Presidents' Athletic Conference Championship Saturday with a 3-0 victory over Westminster. W & J has shutout nine opponents this season. Goalkeeper Stephanie Saussol has a 10-5-1 record in 17 starts, with four shutouts and 59 saves. The Presidents' attack has been fueled by Holly Shipley (13 goals; 11 assists) and Chrissy Marcius (10 goals; 2 assists).

The Big Red is 14-5-2 and has qualified for the NCAA tournament for the 14th time overall and for the sixth straight season. Denison beat Allegheny, 1-0, to win the North Coast Athletic Conference tournament title.The six-member senior class led by captains Jen Clemmer, Jenn Sloan and Haley Gewehr has helped Denison to a 3-3 record in the NCAA tournament dating back to 2007. Clemmer leads the team with 12 goals and 28 points, while Kimmi Oshita has scored 10 goals. Freshman keeper Andrea Karl has a 14-4-2 record with eight shutouts. A defender on the team is junior Angie Coderre, the daughter of former IWU basketball standout Brian Coderre.

Penn State Altoona defeated Penn State Behrend 3-0 in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Championship, earning their second-ever AMCC title. The Lady Lions enter the NCAA tournament with a record of 16-2-3. Winners of their last four matches, the Lions are making their second trip to the NCAA Tournament. Forwards Meredith Waters and Allysia Ketchem have sparked the PS-Altoona offense with 22 points each. Waters has scored nine times and added four assists, while Ketchem has eight goals and six helpers. Junior goalie Lindsay Raspanti has started all 21 games, posted 13 shutouts, surrendered nine goals and made 58 saves.
ILLINOIS WESLEYAN IN NCAA TOURNAMENT PLAY
The Titans have an overall record of 1-2-2 in NCAA Division III tournament play.
In the 2009 NCAA tournament the Titans earned their first-ever playoff win with a 1-0 overtime decision over Carroll before losing in overtime, 1-0 to Washington U.
In 2008, Illinois Wesleyan tied Rhodes, 0-0, but advanced in a 4-3 shootout advantage. In the second round IWU tied Washington U., 0-0, and were outscored, 3-1, in penalty kicks.
In the 2005 NCAA tournament, the Titans lost a 1-0 first round decision at Loras.
