Hagen First Team, Three Others Named all-CCIW in Volleyball

2009 CCIW All-Conference Volleyball Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Senior middle hitter Emily Hagen was named to the first team and three of her teammates were also named to the all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin volleyball squads, selected by league coaches.

Sophomore Gaby Johnson was selected to the second team while sophomore setter Stacy Hassinger and junior Lori Johnson earned honorable mention.

Hagen (Burr Ridge, Ill., Nazareth Academy), who was a first team all-CCIW selection and an honorable mention Division III All-American last year, was second in the CCIW with a .314 hitting percentage and sixth with 2.73 kills per set.

Gaby Johnson (Knoxville, Iowa, Chariton HS) averaged 2.61 kills per set with a .263 hitting percentage against league opponents. She was fifth in the CCIW with nine service aces.

Hassinger (Noblesville, Ind., Westfield HS), who is honorable mention all-CCIW for the second straight year, was second in the conference with 9.4 assists per set and had 10 service aces.

Lori Johnson (Bloomington, Ill., Normal Community HS) averaged 2.62 kills per set with a .257 hitting percentage in conference play. She was second among all CCIW players with 1.04 blocks per set.

The Titans finished 19-19 overall and finished third in the league with a 5-2 record.
