2009 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan freshman
Emily Hinchman was chosen to the first team while four of her Titan teammates were named to the second team of the all-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's soccer teams announced on Monday, Nov. 9.
Chosen to the second team were junior defender
Tori Samson, sophomore defender
Lauren Knaack and junior midfielders
Carlie Hoekstra and
Alyssa Feulner.
Hinchman finished fifth in the league with 10 points and was fourth with 1.7 points per game. She was fifth with four goals and fourth with two assists and tied for first with two game-winning goals.
Samson and Knaack were also second team all-conference selections in 2008.
Hoekstra had three goals and two assists in CCIW matches and finished tied for ninth with 1.14 points per game. She was seventh in goals and fifth in assists and, like Hinchman, tied for first with two game-winners.
Illinois Wesleyan (15-3-3) plays Carroll University (17-2-1) in the first round of the NCAA Division III championships in St. Louis on Saturday, Nov. 14 at 1:30 p.m. The winner of that match would play on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. against the winner between host school Washington U. and Webster for the right to advance to the sectional.
