BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan volleyball team lost in the play-in game for the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin tournament as Millikin defeated the Titans, 25-20, 19-25, 25-22, 25-15, on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

The Titans, whose season ends with a 19-16 record, were the No. 3 seed heading into the game and Millikin (19-19) was the No. 6 seed.

"It's never easy to end a season but very difficult when you play as poorly as we did," said IWU head coach Kim Nelson-Brown. "Our practice yesterday was very inconsistent and it carried over to this evening's match."

Senior Emily Hagen led the Titans with 11 kills and five blocks, while junor Lori Johnson had eight kills and senior Amy VanDerVoorn had seven kills, four blocks and 11 digs.

Senior Jackie Wrobel had 12 defensive digs and freshman Jessica Spence had 10. Sophomore setter Stacy Hassinger added 11 digs and provided 34 assists.
