OSHKOSH, Wis. - The Illinois Wesleyan women's team was 13th (of 34) and the men's team 17th (of 35) at the Brooks Cross Country Invitational meet, held Oct. 17 at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wis., and hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The Titan women had 390 points and the team winner was Calvin with 80. 

IWU's senior Kerry Devitt placed 13th (of 466 women entrants) with a time of 22:02 and Liz Ave Maria ran a time of 22:18 to finish 25th. Senior Katelyn Draths finished third on the team and 107th overall with her time of 23:45, nearly a minute faster than her previous week (24:33) coming back from a leg injury.

Oshkosh's Alya Mitchell was the individual winner with a mark of 20:24.

The Titan men had 455 points as North Central was the team champion with 22.

Wally Farris finished a team-best 45th for the men with a time of 25:25 while Max Lustick was 94th at 26:06 and Jim Fahey was third on the team with a time of 26:07, good for 95th place.

The individual winner was Bethel's Dav Greeno with a time of 24:16. 

It was the largest cross country meet ever hosted by Wisconsin-Oshkosh, featuring 35 teams and over 1,000 participants.

The Titans' next run will be in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships, held Oct. 31 at Elmhurst's Eldridge Park.
