Illinois Wesleyan freshman outside hitter Gaby Johnson was chosen as offensive player of the week for volleyball in the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Johnson (Knoxville, Iowa, Chariton HS) averaged 3.62 kills per set as the Titans went 2-1 last week. On November 1, Johnson had 20 kills with a .600 hitting percentage in a five-set win at DePauw and tallied 16 kills and achieved a .343 hitting percentage in a four-set win over Marian (Ind.). Earlier in the week Johnson had 11 kills, four digs and three blocks in a 3-1 loss to Carthage. For the week she had nine total blocks and 11 digs. The Titans host Augustana in a CCIW tournament play-in game at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4.
